The Logo of the Indo-Italian Centre of Excellence for Environmental Sustainability is a flower whose petals have the colours of the Italian and Indian flags. The structure of the flower is made of the letter "e" which recalls the word "environment", but it can also be seen as a combination of the letters "c" and "e" that are the initials of "Centre of Excellence".

A seed, seen as representative of the genome, is drawn inside this structure and seems to be protected by the flower. At the same time the oval shape around the seed and the seed itself bring to the memory the "third eye" as a general symbol of deeper understanding and of the Indian culture.
